Growing up in the South, particularly the great city of New Orleans I developed a love for old homes and their architecture. I toured Anti-Bellum Plantations, admired the old estates and even went to High School in a 100+ year-old Courthouse. Charm was everywhere, but particularly in the architectural details. The doors, the ceilings, the carved trim and woodwork. Now many of us don’t live in a 100+ year old home, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some of that charm.

Well for those that follow me on Instagram, you know we were affected by Hurricane Matthew. Sadly, it coincided with my first ORC post last week but thankfully, the power was on and I posted. Well, it’s here! The October 2016 One Room Challenge, hosted by Linda of Calling It Home and I couldn’t be more excited!!
